To paraphrase Elizabeth Tudor, I have my hair cut "once a quarter whether I need it or no". Style-hound that I am, I have it razored down to a number 3 cut by my belovèd, the tonsurious Dr. F. The resulting suede effect will last me a good three months before becoming long enough to be irksome (ie requiring combing at least once a day).
There was an unexpected side effect to 2007's first razor cut; on my first day out with it, I was chatted up by a perky young man at a supermarket checkout. While I was not tempted to stray from the paths of heterosexuality, the encounter didn't half cheer me up; I'd never been chatted up by a perky young thing of any description before, not even back in the long-ago days when I was a perky young thing myself.

I think you should approach the BBC about playing the Master in the new Doctor Who series, you've got that Delgado stare going on to perfection :)
Got two of the Mort Cinder books through the post yesterday, they are French versions printed in 1982. I can vaguely make out storylines but I'm more devouring the artwork at the moment!
Matt, your blog kills me! Please, please divert your obvious literary talents into writing your own comic strips.
I am blessed with a similarly bountiful beard, but not with such a fine head of hair. I resort to shaving mine (taxi driver style as I do it myself), to a #1.
Graeme - I found out at my Spanish class the other week that "delgado" means "thin," so I suppose "Roger Delgado" could translate as "F***ing Thin" :-)
Glad I've converted someone else to the Breccia cause - I suspect the 1982 French edition of Mort Cinder is the one owned by my friend Steve Whitaker, who introduced me to Breccia's stuff about 15 years ago.
Chris - a) Aw, shucks! b) Funny you should say that, watch this space...
I.N.J. - I took the beard down to a no. 6 the following day...
A no.6!!! That's not a beard, that's a scarf!
damn you look like as spaced out before and event after... did they use tranquilisers to cut your hair ?
JB from france.
