Lucky The Cat 2008

Long-time readers of this blog will know that the spring hasn't started until we get our first sighting of Lucky the half-face cat. Yes, he's survived another winter, and though he's looking tattier than ever, and seems to be having a little difficulty with his back legs, he meowed at me and came over to be stroked when I spotted him on the way back from the shops yesterday.

Yay! He's back!
Always makes me and the wife smile when the Two Face of the feline world makes an apperance here.
Really shouldn't make light of the poor things obvious past misfortune, but he's so unique a character.
Glad to see he's doing well.
Can't you work him into a strip sometime Matt? He could've fitted in well with the circus in the last Stickleback...

Is a hibernating cat? I'm sure Toms do sleep all winter, only to really take Spring by the horns when it finally arrives.

By the way, despite blogging about comics and stuff for ages, I bet you get more feedback on any item involving cats than anything else you write...

Mangamax - glad to see Lucky's got other fans out there!
John - 'tis the way of the world. I live a couple of streets away from Lucky, so I only see him if he happens to be out when I'm on my way to or form the shops. In the summer he can often be seen asleep on top of his owner's car at the far end of their drive, less often he hangs round their front garden. In winter, you'll very occasionally spot him (and his sibling, who's almost identical though uninjured) sitting in the front downstairs window, but in general, he's not visible from late September to April/May time...
