Despite the police cordon at the station, I managed to sneak into Leeds for the Thought Bubble Sequential Art Festival.
Thought Bubble was held at Saviles Hall, just behind the Royal Armouries Leeds.
Me sketching; I did twenty sketches in five hours, or an average of one every fifteen minutes. Good thing I brought some bananas to keep me going.
Back from Thought Bubble in Leeds last night, still a little spaced out, but I'd like to say thanks to everyone who asked for a sketch and in particular to Tamsin for inviting me and for (co-)organizing the first large-scale comics event I've ever been to where the temperature was comfortable the whole day! Amazing!
I'm getting better at this… I think this is everyone who got a sketch from me at Thought Bubble. click on the pictures to go the full-sized versions on Flickr.
I asked permission to Blog these, but if you'd rather your picture was taken down, just let me know and I'll remove it.
I've titled the photos based on names (if I know them or can read them from the dedications) or, failing that, the subject of the sketch. If you spot an error, leave a comment of the photo page on Flickr and I'll sort it out.

Phew! That explains why we didn't see more than the top of your head at intervals across the day, being as busy as you were. We did quite well ourselves with the Girly Book launch. Much cooing and book stroking was done, and exchanging of Galactic Groats (ker-ching!)
I guess we'll catch you at the next thing...
Was an awesome day all round and I was so chuffed with my sketch (the Turtle dressed as Judge Dredd!).
The story about why Spidey really got the black costume was great to hear as well, thanks for telling me that, I'm a die-hard Spidey fan and I never knew the truth behind it.
Cheers again! :-)
Jim
